About Doc
Dr. Charles J. Portales received his
Bachelor of Science in Biology from
the University of Texas in San Antonio
in 1992. He then graduated from the
University of Texas Health Science
Center Dental School in 1997.
Dr. Portales spent his first eight years in private practice in San
Antonio, Texas. He moved to Conroe, Texas, in 2004, to be closer to
Deb’s family. He has a beautiful, charming, knock-out-of-a-wife, who
insisted on writing her own description on this page. Her name is
Deb. When Doc is not in the office, you’ll find him at Kuntry Katfish
eating Mary’s old-fashioned home cookin’ or working cattle at his
family’s ranch in Waelder, Texas.
Dr. Bobby “Deke” Neves, is a native of Conroe. He graduated from Conroe High in 1997
and received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Baylor University in 2002. He attended the University of Texas Health Science Center Dental School and has recently returned to Conroe to join Dr. Portales in practice. (And to be close to his Dad & Mom). When Deke’s not spinning the handpiece he is probably hunting or fishing with his Dad anywhere there’s an open season.
